We need your help with 2 new bills.

Friend,

Thank you for taking action with Tennessee Stands and contacting your legislators on these important issues.

There are now two new opportunities for you to communicate your support on key efforts this legislative session.

The Healthcare Recipient Rights Act ensures that patients and residents in medical facilities would have access to medical treatments regardless of vaccination status, allowed visitation by family members and advocates in the case of an inability to make one’s medical decisions, and a requirement for informed consent for treatments authorized for emergency use only.

The Parents' Bill of Rights requires LEAs to permit parents to have access to certain information, including the names of instructors, titles available in the school library, teacher manuals, and curriculum; requires parents to provide written consent before a student can participate in any extracurricular activity, family life lesson, field trip, school assembly, or guest speaker event; prohibits certain healthcare practitioners from providing medical treatment to a minor without parental consent or appropriate court order.
